Callum C-X75: The Jaguar Supercar Reborn

The Jaguar C-X75 is a legend reborn. Originally unveiled as a hybrid concept in 2010, it captured imaginations with its innovative design and powerful engine. However, the project faced challenges, and production never materialized.

From Concept to Spectre Star

Ian Callum, Jaguar’s former design director, calls the C-X75 “the one that got away.” The initial concept boasted a revolutionary 778-horsepower hybrid powertrain, but later iterations explored a more conventional series hybrid setup with a V8 engine. The C-X75 even made a dramatic appearance in the 2015 James Bond film Spectre, showcasing its sleek design and raw power.

A Cancelled Dream, a Reborn Reality

Economic woes forced Jaguar to scrap the C-X75 production plans in 2012. However, the story doesn’t end there. Callum Design, Ian Callum’s namesake firm, has taken it upon themselves to bring the C-X75 to life.

The Callum C-X75: A Road-Legal Masterpiece

One of the surviving Spectre stunt cars has been meticulously transformed into a road-legal supercar by Callum Design. Gone are the impracticalities of the concept car. The Callum C-X75 boasts a powerful supercharged V8 engine, a smooth-shifting 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, and a luxurious interior.

More Than Just Performance

The Callum C-X75 isn’t just about brute force. Callum Design has equipped it with a user-friendly touchscreen infotainment system and a range of driving modes, allowing drivers to tailor the car’s performance to their needs. This refined approach makes the C-X75 not just a powerful machine, but a truly enjoyable driving experience.

A Testament to Passion

The Callum C-X75 is a testament to Ian Callum’s passion for design and the enduring appeal of the C-X75 concept. It’s a car that almost never was, but thanks to Callum Design, it’s now a road-legal masterpiece, a thrilling reminder of what could have been.
